Psycho Social Support

The majority of the centre’s children come from broken, struggling homes and grow up in a crime and poverty- ridden area where they are exposed to trauma and social challenges. Rape and child abuse, neglect, substance abuse and domestic violence are some of the problems. While we can ́t change their circumstances we assist wherever we can. That ́s why we try to create a safe and caring environment where the kids feel the centre is their second home and the staff become their persons of trust. We are conducting home visits to support them further. Throughout all the centre programs we offer life-skills training and continuous sessions about topics like bullying, child abuse and drugs. Whenever we come across social problems we intervene, offer basic counselling or refer to partner networks that are more specialised.
