While our main target group are the children and youth, we understand that involving parents is essential to any intervention in the kids' lives. While it is not always easy, we encourage the parents to be involved in their children's lives and in the activities in which their children participate. The centre runs two parent programmes in partnership with other organisations. The training of LifeChoices offers personal development and parent skills to our parents. The Wordworks program focuses on giving parents simple and practical skills in getting involved in the learning processes of their children. Furthermore, parents are always invited to parent and learner fun days and are encouraged to come and watch their children at sports and arts and culture events. Regular parent meetings take place and we conduct home-visits when needed.
