Sport at iThemba

Sport, combined with life skill training to promote social skills, aims to develop and strengthen self-esteem, teamwork and a sense of responsibility for both children and young people.

Netball is a very popular game in South Africa and very similar to basketball. There are three girls teams. In addition to training and games, the girls also perform life skills training, which is highly important for girls in puberty. Here, problems can be addressed and advice can be offered. In addition to the training, competitions are also held and attended.
